In the mid-Cape region of Cape Cod, there’s only one campground with its own private swimming beach on the Nantucket Sound, and that’s Camper’s Haven. Our 500-foot stretch of secluded sand has an ocean-front picnic gazebo, a boating area perfect for small sailboats and access to pristine waters that average 70-degrees during summer. To keep guests entertained out of the water, our family-friendly grounds feature a colorful playground structure, a basketball court, a miniature golf course, a bocce ball court and a clubhouse with a billiards table.
Safety and convenience are a top priority at Camper’s Haven. Our gated grounds contain 275 sites with wireless internet availability and free cable TV. Guests without an RV have the option of camping out on our tent sites or reserving one of our rental houses. The on-site store carries groceries, ice and beach toys, plus houses a snack bar that serves breakfast, lunch and sweet ice cream treats. Additional facilities include two air-conditioned laundry rooms, three bath houses and several outdoor showers convenient for rinsing the salt off after an ocean swim.
For off-site excursions, nearby ferries provide voyages to both Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket Island where you can spend days shopping, dining and perusing the handicrafts of local artists. Just 12 miles down the road in Hyannis, history buffs can spend enjoyable hours at the Smithsonian-affiliated Plimoth Plantation and the John F. Kennedy Museum. For eco-tourists, the area offers agricultural tours of local cranberry bogs, whale watching voyages on Cape Cod bay and coastline biking opportunities on the Cape Cod Rail Trail. Baseball fans can take in an amateur level game featuring some of the newest up-and-comers playing in the Cape Cod Baseball League - one of the nation’s oldest baseball organizations currently celebrating its 114th season.
